Overview
You have set up a Document Viewer Tile within Jive that displays a Document containing embedded iFrame HTML content. When loading the page within specific browsers, the content fails to load, and the embedded content is not functional.
Solution
This behavior is most often seen when loading the embedded content within a chromium-based web browser because it handles specific HTML markup differently. When the Tile appears to load the document, but the behavior of the embedded content is not as expected, you can reference the steps below to isolate the source of trouble.
-
Open the Tile page within a non-chromium browser (ex. Firefox or Safari).
- If the content loads correctly, continue below.
- Otherwise, collect any errors within the console before continuing.
-
Open the linked document directly and confirm whether or not the behavior is as expected.
- If you experience the same unexpected behavior in the document itself, this is a clear indicator that the Tile is not the source of your trouble. Please get in touch with the developer of the embedded code you are using to investigate this trouble directly.
- If the content loads correctly, continue below.
-
Reload the page containing the faulty Document Tile.
- Review the browser console to identify any apparent errors in the embedded content.
-
If no clear errors are shown, please contact us so that ATLAS can assist you. If you are not satisfied with the solution provided by ATLAS, then it will create a ticket for you on which you can attach the below information:
- A HAR File
- A video capturing the behavior.
- Any errors collected during the steps above.
