Overview

This operation is useful when you cannot find places in the search or in other fields where places are suggested, like for example, when Publishing a document. In Jive a "place" is a generic term indicating any container: Spaces, Groups, and Projects. 

Diagnosis

The rebuild can solve the following issues:

• you created a new place, but it is not visible in the search tool
• when searching for a place, the returned list is empty or partial

Solution

Navigate to Admin Console > System > Settings > Browse:

and click "Re-synchronize Index".

No message will be displayed. This is a relatively light operation that should be completed fairly quickly even in large instances.
