Content Not Loading in Chrome Browser

Overview

Users are unable to see the content in a social group or space in Jive. The issue is only present in Google Chrome; for all other browsers, it works fine.

The following error is shown: "Server IP could not be found error".

Environment

 Jive Interactive Intranet-Core: 8.0.4, Google Chrome

Reproduction Steps

  1. Go to a Jive site and log in.
  2. Go to a space or social group.

Expected Result

  • The user can see the content without issue.

Actual Result

  • "Server IP could not be found error" is displayed.

Root Cause

This error is related to the host cache in Chrome.

Resolution

  1. Open Google Chrome.

  2. Type chrome://net-internals/#dns in the address bar and press Enter.

  3. Click on the “Clear host cache” button.

  4. Restart Chrome.
