Overview

When trying to delete a group, the following error appears:

There was an unexpected error

This article provides the steps to resolve the issue described above.

Environment

Jive Interactive Intranet - Jive Core

Root Cause

• The problem was with one of the attachments for a document present in the group.
• The attachment, a .docx file,  was corrupted. 
• This corruption interfered with the permissions handle's effectiveness.

Resolution

1. Remove the attachment.
2. Delete the document.
3. Delete the group, using the process detailed in the link provided.

Confirmation

The group can be deleted successfully.
