Overview
You notice that the ability for a user to edit Events created by other users is showing inconsistent behavior. The users can edit some Events but can't edit the other Events that seem similar. You'd like to understand how the entitlement for the edit permissions works within Jive for Events.
Information
A user can edit Events created by other users either if,
- They are added as an author to the Event, or
- They are the administrator of the Space or Group that the event was posted in.
If either or both of the conditions are satisfied, the user will be able to edit the Event. Please note that Global Administrators will be able to edit any Event since they have administrative access over the entire Jive Community.
