Overview
After creating a document or file in a Jive Instance the user is unable to search it in the Jive Instance. The document can be seen in the activity stream but is not possible to mention the document using the "@" symbol nor to search for the document by its title either.
Reproduction Steps
- Create a document or file in a Jive Instance.
- Search for the document above, or
- Try to mention the same document in any discussion or blog.
Expected Result
After creating the document/file, it should be visible in the activity stream and it should come up while searching/mentioning(using @).
Actual Result
The document can be seen in the activity stream but is not possible to mention the document using the "@" symbol nor to search for the document by its title either.
Resolution

A 'search reindexing' will fix this issue.

The reindex (rebuilds) are generally only required if the search index becomes corrupted or not working as designed.

For doing a reindex:

Go to Admin Console: System > Settings > Search.

Under Content Search > Index Tasks, select the 'Search' checkbox.

Click 'Rebuild Index'.

Wait untill the rebuild is complete and try again.
