Overview

Users are not being able to create new groups, projects or spaces using Internet Explorer 11. Works fine in Chrome.

Error message: "Object doesn't support property or method 'includes'".

 

Environment

Jive Interactive Intranet-Jive Core

Affected Versions: 9.0.6 and 9.0.7

 

Reproduction Steps

1. Log in to a 9.0.6 or 9.0.7 instance.
2. Create a group.
3. Fill in a name.
4. Open the F12 Developer Tools.
5. Click on create a group.
6. Note the spinner continues to spin indefinitely.
7. Check in the console tab - note the error message "Object doesn't support property or method 'includes'".

Current Behavior

• Spinner continues to spin indefinitely.
• In dev tools > console tab - error message "Object doesn't support property or method 'includes'".

Expected Behavior

• Users are able to create groups, projects, and spaces in IE11.
  
  

Resolution

This is a known defect (JVHOPLE-3369).

• This issue will be fixed in 9.0.8
• Fix will be backported to 9.0.7.1

Alternatively, use a different browser (i.e. Chrome) to create groups, projects, and spaces.
