Setting up Other Content Permissions for User Groups

Overview

This article provides the process for assigning permissions on Other Content to a user group not having those already. The article also provides the procedure for editing such permissions for a user group which already has those assigned.


Information

You can assign permissions on Other Content to a group of users, which makes the process - of having to do it for multiple users - faster and easier. Please note that the user group must exist before you can assign it permissions.


Process

To set up permissions for a user group on other content:

  1. Navigate to Admin Console > Permissions > Other Content Permissions.
  2. On the permissions page, under Groups with access, review permissions for user groups, and:
    • To assign permissions to a user group not yet listed, you:
      1. Click Add Group.
      2. Enter the name of the user group to add.
      3. Click the Select Permissions button.
      4. Select checkboxes (in the Other Content Permissions for <user group> dialog box) for the permissions you want to apply.
    • To edit permissions for a user group already listed, you:
      1. Locate the group in the list.
      2. Click Edit Permissions, next to the group's name.
      3. Select or unselect checkboxes (in the Other Content Permissions for <user group> dialog box) for the permissions you want to apply or remove respectively.
  3. Click Set Permissions.

Confirmation

The desired user group gets the applied permissions.
