This article explains Open Search in Jive, where can you find it, and it points you in the right direction to learn more about this option.

Information

You can make some external search engines available to users in the community. If a search engine supports the OpenSearch format for sharing of the search results, you can add support for it. In this case, the search engine is used in addition to the internal search engine when people search for content in Jive.

This option can be found by going to the Admin Console > System > Settings > OpenSearch Engines
