Overview

The ampersand & character, when used in Status Updates, is not displayed properly. It is getting replaced by the unescaped &amp. This article details a fix for this issue.

Environment

Jive Interactive Intranet-Core: Jive Platform 9.0.2.1

Visible Issue or Error

Unescaped &amp replaces the ampersand & character.

Reproduction Steps

1. Create Menu.
2. Create a Status Update.
3. Insert an Ampersand character &.
4. Finalize Status Update creation.

Expected Result

• An Ampersand & should be displayed within the Status Update.

Actual Result

• Unescaped & replaces the Ampersand & character.

Resolution

Upgrade to Jive version 9.0.4, 9.0.5 or later.

Note: This was fixed in Jive versions 9.0.4 and 9.0.5; if you are seeing this beyond these versions, you are most likely experiencing a regression.
