Overview

In your Jive on-premise instance, you notice that changing system properties services.hostport.search.host, services.hostport.search.port, and services.hostport.activityIngress.host reverts back to the old values upon the instance restart.

Solution

1. In addition to updating the system properties, you will also need to configure the service directory settings in the serviceDirectory.json file.
2. Perform a rolling restart for the changes to take effect.

Testing

Check the Search Service Status in Admin Console > System > Settings > Search and the new IP addresses should now be correctly updated.
