This article tabulates all the permission levels available for Social Groups in Jive and what these allow the users to do.
Information
The following table lists all the available permission levels for social groups and provides a summary of what each level allows the users to do.
Permission Level | Access Granted |
View social group | See the group features and read all visible social groups. This level acts as a general visibility option for groups. It must be selected so that users can choose Group from the New menu in the user interface. |
Create group (public) | Create a public or members-only social group. |
Create group (private) | Create a new private or private unlisted (also known as secret) group. |
Manage social group | Manage a social group. Access and manage permissions for all types of social groups, including secret groups. |
Create externally accessible group | Create private and private unlisted (also known as secret) social groups that are accessible to invited external contributors. |
