Overview
This article provides an introduction to managing different permissions to allow (or restrict) access to 'Non-Global Blog(s)' in Jive.
Information
'Non-Global Blogs' are associated with a place, for example, a space, social group, or project. Different permission controls are available to allow users to view, create, and comment on these blogs.
The following table gives a brief description of where permissions for non-global blogs can be managed.
Blog Location | Permissions Management |
Space | Access to blogs under a space is managed under the permissions for the space. |
Social Group | Access for blogs in social groups is always completely open. If the creator of a social group chooses to allow a blog for the group, then any member of the group can perform all authorized tasks, such as viewing and posting. |
Project | Blogs in projects inherit blog permissions from the place under which the project exists. For example, a blog for a project under a space inherits permissions from the space. |
