After stopping the use of some of the Active Directory import fields such as Department, you might run into a situation where a user moved Departments. This change needs to be reflected in the user's profile. However, when you try to edit the user, to update a field (such as Department in this example), it appears in the solid grey color and you are unable to edit it.
