Embedded Video Alignment Is Lost In The Editor When Saving The Blog Post

Overview

When creating a new Blog Post with an embedded Video content that's either center or right-aligned/justified, you notice that the alignment/justification is lost upon saving the Blog Post and the Video gets left aligned automatically.

Solution

This occurs because of a bug that was identified which was causing the data received in the /v2/rest/draft/ API response (used to display the saved Blog Post) to be different from that submitted in the preceding /v2/rest/blogPosts/ API request (used to save the Blog Post).

This issue was resolved in Jive Cloud release 3006.8 with the issue key JVCLD-153481 (release notes on Worx). While the Cloud upgrades are automatically deployed, if you haven't yet been upgraded or have chosen to stay on an earlier version and now would like to upgrade, please get in touch with your Account Manager/Executive to arrange for the upgrade.

Note: After the upgrade, please ensure to clear your browser's cache and cookies before testing the fixes.

Testing

The video alignment should now be properly be saved and displayed in the editor for the Blog Posts.
