Overview

When you try to create a content search synonym that contains a dash (-), the system automatically replaces the dash (-) with whitespace ( ). For example, the synonym term fifty-five will automatically be converted to fifty and five. In this case, the terms fifty and five become synonyms and can be used interchangeably during content searches.

This is the expected behavior as the dash character (-) is used to indicate white spaces ( ). Currently, the system doesn't support adding the dash character (-) to the synonym list.
