Overview

Sending an RSVP response to Jive Events from Outlook triggers a blank event in Jive Event and the status of the invited user also remains at Awaiting Response state.

Steps to reproduce

1. A user is invited to a Jive Event.
2. The invited user tries to accept this invite by using the Send the Response Now option in Microsoft Outlook.
3. Even though the user has accepted the invite in Microsoft Outlook, the invite's status in Jive stays as Awaiting Response.
4. There is also an empty comment created within the Jive Event from the user.

Information

The recommended approach of accepting an Event invite in Jive is either directly through the Event page or by using the notification in the Jive Inbox.

Jive currently doesn't support accepting invites through third-party email apps like Microsoft Outlook or through web services such as Gmail. Adding support for such services has been registered as a product enhancement request.
