Overview
You notice that Deactivated Users appear in Search Results on Jive versions earlier than 9.7. You may expect that only Admin Users should have the ability to search for Deactivated Users and are wondering how to disable Standard Users from seeing Deactivated Users.
Solution
Jive versions that were released before version 9.7 allowed Standard Users to see Deactivated Users in Search results. This behavior was corrected with the release of Jive version 9.7 and applies to all subsequent versions. It is recommended that you upgrade your Jive instance to the latest version to address this issue.
Versions of Jive that were released prior to version 9.7 can use the steps below to filter out Deactivated Users while keeping their content visible.
- Access the advanced search screen by clicking on the magnifying glass, input your search criteria, and hit enter
- Locate the Deactivated users toggle at the left side of the advanced search screen
- Select the option to hide, this will hide the deactivated users to be displayed while their content will remain visible
