Overview

You would like to install the Nitro/Gamification Plugin to your Jive instance.

Solution

1. Browse to the Gamification Module page.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
3. Download the version of the plugin that matches your Jive version.
4. Log in to the Admin Console
5. Click on the System tab.
6. Click on the Plugins tab.
7. Click on Add Plugin.
8. Click on the Choose File button.
9. Select the file you downloaded in Step 2.
10. Click on the Upload button.
11. Once the upload is complete, you will be directed to the Installed Plugins page, and you will see the gamification plugin listed in the Plugins table there, along with the text (Jive SBS restart needed to take effect) next to it.
12. For each web server in your Jive instance:
    1. Log in to the web server using the command-line interface (Do this one server at a time).
    2. Switch your account to the Jive user using the command: sudo su - jive
    3. Run the command: jive restart
    4. Wait until the command indicates it completed successfully.
    5. Move on to the next web server.

Testing

To confirm that the Gamification plugin is now installed, please follow these steps:

1. Log in to the Admin Console
2. Click on the System tab.
3. Click on the Plugins tab.
4. Confirm that the gamification plugin is listed in the Plugins table.
