Before upgrading to Jive 9.4, you have questions about Jive Anywhere that are similar to the following examples:

Is Jive Anywhere no longer a separate download in 9.4?
Jive Anywhere is still a separate download. Installing the Extended APIs plugin is still required in order to enable Jive Anywhere in your community, and users will still need to install Jive Anywhere onto their computers.
Are there are any changes to the way Jive Anywhere works in 9.4?
There are no changes to the way Jive Anywhere works in 9.4.
Is it ideal to have more than one way for users to download Jive Anywhere?
It is fine to have more than one way for users to download Jive Anywhere as long as you ensure that the same version is used in all the places that users can download Jive Anywhere from. Aurea recommends consulting with your IT team regarding the ideal method to distribute Jive Anywhere for your organization.
Will the current versions of Jive Anywhere need to be removed by users?
Users will not have to remove the versions of Jive Anywhere they have installed. To ensure compatibility, please ensure that users have the following versions installed:
- Internet Explorer: Jive Anywhere 3.2 or later.
- Google Chrome: Jive Anywhere 3.2.1 or later.

Will Jive Anywhere automatically appear for users in their browsers after the upgrade?
Jive 9.4 will not automatically deploy Jive Anywhere to browsers, it will not automatically appear in a browser if it was not previously installed. For more information on deploying Jive Anywhere, review the following documentation: Deploying browser plugins to multiple users.
Will users have to follow additional steps to get it to work?
Users will not have to follow any additional steps.
