| EAG | Externally Accessible Group |
| HOP | Hosted/On-Premise. |
| Hyland | A video provider service still used by certain On-Premise and Hosted customers. This was previously known as Perceptive or Twistage. |
| IdP/IDP | Identity Provider. |
| JCA | Jive Cloud Admin. |
| JD | Jive Daily. |
| JDH | Jive Daily Hosted. |
| JIRA | The jira.devfactory.com site used to file customer defects or incidents/requests. |
| Jive Daily/Jive Daily Hosted | Android and iOS apps that allow users to access their Jive community. |
| Jive for Mobile | Jive for Mobile is a new mobile app which brings the experience of using Jive on your desktop to your mobile phone. This is a successor to the Jive Daily apps. |
| Maven | A source code repository that On-Premise and Hosted customers can access and use to build customized deployments of Jive. |
| Miru |
Miru is a multi-tenant search engine that is used by Jive. It is used to support aggregations, distincts, joins, trending, analytics, collaborative filtering, activity streams, full text search and read tracking. Miru can be construed as a search engine without scoring. It is highly recommended to go through the Big Book of R2E2 for more details. |
| Modules / Plugins | Files that can be installed to Jive On-Premise and Hosted instances to enable additional functionality. |
| NOC | Network Operations Center |
| Project | A place in Jive that can contain content items. |
| RSVP |

| Shared Services | The team responsible for maintaining the infrastructure that Jive Cloud and Hosted customers use. |
| Social Group | A place in Jive that can contain content items. Permissions operate on an admin or member basis. |
| Space | A place in Jive that can contain content items, spaces, and projects. Custom permissions can be defined for the space members. |
| SSO | Single Sign-On. |
| TemboSocial | 3rd Party Plugin from New Relic. |

| Tiles | Components that can be added to activity pages to display specific information or insert HTML or JavaScript code. |
| User Group | A group of users that can be used when specifying permissions in Jive. |
| Vanity URL | A vanity URL is a domain name (community.mydomain.com) purchased and maintained by you which replaces the default site URL that was provided to you by Jive (customer.hosted.jivesoftware.com or community.jiveon.com). |
| Widgets | Components that can be added to overview pages to display specific information or insert HTML or JavaScript code. |
| WORX | The AureaWORX community. |
