The Social News section in the News Streams displays the latest activity details based on the News Stream's configuration and the user who is viewing it. The Social News section often appears after the updates for places and user profiles in the News Streams. Below is an example of the Social News section.
It is not possible to disable this out of the box through any configuration setting or system property as this is part of the Social features and the community building that Jive provides. It is important to note that this feature respects the users' interests and they will only see the activity from their places, their groups, and content or people that they follow.
