Overview
When trying to update some content or when posting new content, the following error is displayed in a red bar at the bottom: "An error occurred while processing your request", as shown in the following screenshot:
Solution
This error most of the time is related to an invalid user session. It means that, for multiple reasons, the user cookies or the user web session are no longer accepted by the jive server.
You can apply the following solutions:
- logoff from Jive and logon again
- clear the browser cache, as explained in this article
- try in a Browser Incognito session
If none of these solutions works:
- please collect a HAR trace - for example, for Chrome, you can refer to the article Capturing HAR Web Requests in Chrome for Jive Support
- take a screenshot of the full page with the error
- open a ticket into the Jive Support Portal, listing the exact reproduction steps that lead to this error and the troubleshooting operations that you already tried
