Overview

You may want to know which versions of Apache HTTPD, Tomcat, Struts, Java JDK, Log4j, APR, Libreoffice, Freetype and other libraries are present in your Jive instance.

This article provides the versions of Apache servers present in each Jive release. This information is useful when checking for defects, limitations, and knowing any vulnerabilities that might occur in a customer environment concerning Apache servers.

General Guidelines

In general, the following guidelines stand true for retrieving information regarding various Jive components. Some of these apply only to specific environments (e.g. Cloud or HOP)

Some of these can be obtained by accessing the System Information option available in the Admin Console.

For versions of frontend libraries like Bootstrap, jQuery, etc. you can check the Sources section in the browser after opening a Jive page and check the version details in the library file directly.

Tomcat

You can get the version by running cat ~/tomcat/RELEASE-NOTES and looking at the start of the release notes in HOP environments. Details of the specific versions are given in the sections below.

Java

Java version can be retrieved by accessing the Admin Console > System Information

jQuery

This can be obtained by running jQuery().jquery; in the browser's console.

Underscore JS

It can be determined by running _.VERSION; in the browser's console.

In HOP environments, you can check ~/var/www/resources/scripts/underscore/underscore.js

Handlebars JS

For HOP environments, you can check ~/var/www/resources/scripts/vendor/handlebars/handlebars.js

Bootstrap JS

In HOP environments, check ~/var/www/resources/scripts/vendor/bootstrap/bootstrap.js
