This article provides information on how revisions in documents and attachments affect the links for these documents and attachments. For example, it explains what happens to the link of a document after a revision is made in the document. This information may be useful for you when embedding these links in other posts or documents.
Revisions do not change the link to the document. The link for the document remains the same after creation irrespective of the number of revisions made.
Revisions do change the link for the attachment at every revision. The link that you see in the Jive community only points towards the current revision of the attachment and will be changed if any additional revision is made.
If you need the link to stay consistent and not change at every revision, you can use a third-party file storage provider such as Dropbox, or Box, etc. Please refer to Using external file storage for more information on how to configure external storage.
