Overview
In the beginning, widgets were the standard for building overview pages in Jive. But now there are tiles, and it is a great option. The latest release of Jive offers a large number of tiles to choose from! While they are all awesome, we have highlighted a few below to illustrate the flexibility and ease of use that you can get with tiles. So if you are not on the tile team yet, check out three of our favorites below.

Recommended Tiles
Here are three tiles you can take advantage of now:
-
Super List Tile. This tile is called super for a reason; it is a jack of all trades. A Super List tile acts like a lot of the widgets you already know and love, except it is a mobile-friendly tile. Some examples of common ways to use the Super List Tile:
-
How many times have you wished there was a categories widget? Well, Super List can do just that! Filter your content in a category and grab the list with the "Use this view in a tile." Want to get wild and pull a list of content from a category and a tag? Super List can do that for you too.
-
You do not see a tile to pull a feed of a specific type of content such as ideas or polls? Super List is your tile.
-
Want to pull a list based on a structured outcome, tag, or type? You got it! Super List will work!
-
-
Banner Tile. Do you need to add clear calls to action with some visual interest to your page but you do not want to use HTML? That is why the Banner Tile is recommended. All you need to update the Banner Tile are icons or images and you can quickly add them along with the copy and URL's. In a few minutes, you have an engaging landing page for your Place.
Hint: Check out other tiles in the "Graphic Elements" category. You can add a carousel, image gallery, or if you want to really go for it, there is always the HTML Tile.
-
Helpful Links Tile. How many times have you been asked to quickly add a list of "helpful and quick" links to a page? The Helpful Links Tile allows you to quickly create a list of links that you can add to any page. You can also link it to people, places, and content within the community as well as anything external to Jive. Also, you can easily add an icon to go with each link without having to create or edit any HTML.
