When trying to embed an external video (eg: from Vimeo, YouTube, etc.), you are facing a The upload process failed. Please retry again later error message. This problem is not specific to a particular video or video platform/s.

Solution

This issue can occur due to the Space Settings in Jive which would not be allowing External Objects to be added in the Space. Follow the below steps to resolve this issue:

1. Sign in to Jive with an Admin account.
2. Navigate to the Space settings.
3. Tick the box for External Objects.
4. Click the Save Changes button.

After making these changes, videos from external sources should be embeddable. This solution can be applied to any other space where videos cannot be embedded.
