You would like to know whether it's possible to share a blog post or another content item with a user group. This may be for the purpose of generating an email notification for that content item to that user group.

Information

It's not possible to share a content item with a user group. You can only share content items with other users or with places, however, please note content that is shared to a place will not generate an email notification for the members or followers of that place.

To ensure that users receive email notifications for important content items, it's necessary to:

• Create those items in a place that those users are following, and to ensure that those users have enabled email notifications for places they are following.
• Create those content items in a place that is covered by a news stream that those users have been configured to receive.
