Overview

When you try to publish one of the following files types to your community, an error message appears with the text "The content type of this document is not allowed":

• A WMV file
• An MP4 file
• Excel spreadsheets
• Word documents
• PowerPoint presentations

This issue was identified as a defect in versions of Jive prior to version 9.5. If you experience this problem and your Jive version is already 9.5 or higher, please contact us.

This issue was resolved in Jive version 9.5 and later versions under the code JVHOPST-19954, which is listed in the release notes on this page.

To resolve this issue, please upgrade your Jive instance to the latest version.
